Toe the line with Willy’s Mexicana Grill and help us raise $1000 or more per day for the Boys & Girls Club’s Healthy Futures program. Just like each mile of the 26.2-mile marathon, we’re raising $26,000 from May 31st to June 25th this year in commemoration of Willy’s 26th year of rolling burritos in Georgia.
For every $5 that you donate, you’ll receive a $5 coupon for your next visit! That’s right, we’re rewarding you for helping out and giving back! We care, we know that you care and we love making zesty, healthy, and reasonably-priced meals for our friends and neighbors, so we’re going to pay it forward when you help out the Boys & Girls Clubs this May & June.
As we all know, the pandemic has impacted each and every one of us: but the need is greater for some in our community, especially kids. This year we are honored to support the Boys & Girls Club’s Healthy Futures Program which focuses on helping kids to lead healthy lifestyles, prepare for college & career and unlock their potential to thrive in life!
Willy’s has been partnering with the Boys & Girls Club since 2015 when we celebrated our 20th-anniversary. When we first opened our doors at our original location on Roswell Road in 1995, we knew that we wanted to serve fresh & authentic California-style burritos to our neighbors as well as support our local community.
During that 20th anniversary year, we decided, “Hey, why not raise $20K in 20 days for each of our 20 years rolling handmade burritos?” And thus, the first BGCMA + Willy’s fundraiser was born! Every year since, we’ve added a day and another $1,000 in honor of BGCMA’s efforts to assist at-risk youth in Metro Atlanta.
Unfortunately, but understandably, we were not able to hold our $25K in 25 days fundraiser as planned last year due to the pandemic. However, we’re proud to say that to date we have raised $131,783 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, Athens, Bartow County, and the Chattahoochee Valley!
Now that we’re at full capacity, we’re ready to roll (pun very much intended) and raise 26k in 26 Days!
Since 1995, we’ve been all about our always-fresh, never-frozen, hand-rolled burritos. Our salsas and guacamole are prepared multiple times daily and we have no freezers or microwaves on-site. We have a firm commitment to crafting authentic, healthy, and mouthwatering burritos, bowls, nachos, tacos, salads, salsas, and more. We make our food from scratch, from hand-shredding our cheese to roasting our tomatoes and peppers for salsa, so that you can enjoy your meal in our colorful dining rooms or take it to-go or have it delivered. .
We’re always happy and enthusiastic about serving our customers and that spirit permeates our “green” environmental efforts as well. Willy’s offers unbleached napkins made from unrecycled materials, self-programming thermostats (for power conservation), and we use recycled-box containers for our quesadillas and nachos, among other efforts to preserve our wonderful planet.
